How to calculate the Arrival time for Time History Analysis
Question:
For the time history analysis ,how do I arrive at the arrival time?
Answer:Dear User,
It depends on the velocity of the train and the distance between the nodes.
Say there are nodes spaced 0.5m and the velocity of train in 50m/s ,
then the arrival time for the train for the second node would be ( v = d/t = 0.5/50 s = 0.01 s )
so for further nodes 3, 4,5 the arrival time would be incremented with 0.01s (i.e 0.02, 0.03 etc )
Hope that helped. If further assistance is required, kindly let us know.
