Composite section design - stress limit check



I have run the design for the integral bridge. I have modelled cracked section at the abutments ( I used the section manager tool to do so).
When checking the stress limit in cracked sections, the stresses are beyond the limit for concrete check. I would expect higher stresses in the reinforcement steel (since the section is cracked) and lower stresses in the cracked concrete.

Does the software consider cracked section in the stress limit check?


Software does consider cracked section for designing for hogging moment and uncracked for sagging moment on the section irrespective of what is considered.
So, for cracked section, concrete is not considered while calculating the section properties. 
So, the stiffness of section get reduced and strains in section increases for same moment. 
Thus, higher stress are received in concrete.
