Warning 4011

Question:

Hi,

I'm not able to resolve this warning when responce spectrum analysis run, have you advise?

thanks

regards

Answer:

The warning will occur when mass centers are differently calculated by direction. For example, mass center in the X axis is calculated firstly from the moment of Y direction and secondly from the moment of Z direction. Usually these two calculations will give the same result, but in this model they are different for the masses generated by 'Load to Mass'. In this case, the program gives warning and take the average of two values as mass center. The mass center only affects the masses of the rotational dof and modal participation factor.
For your information, I converted the model into midas Civil and compared the period and modal effective masses.

If the developer gives me more information, I will let you know.

Hi,

The message appeared because of the 'Load to Mass' input data, but the developer is working on it to find out why it came up and what it means. It seems the original developer who coded this warning message is not working in midas any more.
