Explain the difference between the option ‘Age’ which appears under both ‘Composite Section’ and ‘Construction Stage’.
Answer:
The age specified in the Construction Stage Definition is applied to the elements activated in this stage and is the default age applied to all elements of a given group that are activated.
The age specified in Composite Section for Construction Stage is used for composite sections to specify each part and overwrites the age specified in the Construction Stage Definition.
For example, any RC members which are activated in a given stage will use the age applied in the CS Definition, and any composite members (SRC) will use the age which is specified for them in the Composite Section for CS.
