Effective Length (K) Factor

Is there a way to have Midas calculate the effective length (K) factors for steel shapes?

Yes, please refer to the online help. Auto Calculate Effective Length Factors option in the Design>Common Parameter>Definition of Frame menu. The calculation method is just one of the various methods. Thus, please make sure that the algorithm is what you want.
