Hi all,

a customer of ours noted that Midas Civil put lambda_1 equal to 1.55 and not considering the corresponding chapter of Eurocode.



In Eurocode the calculation is more articulated



Why does Midas not implement this procedure?
Is it possible to update the software?

Hi,

Fatigue check for the shear connector is only supported in midas Civil. The fatigue assessment for reinforcement, concrete and structural steel is not supported.
For the shear connection, lambda_v1 is 1.55 according to (4) of 6.8.6.2 of EN 1994-2 as shown below. We will consider your request when we expand the fatigue check for the structural steel and reinforcement.
