Incorrect dead load in construction stage

Question:

The calculated girder DL reactions are much higher than expected. It appears some of the loads (most likely from the deck) may have been considered twice for the composite girder sections defined in the model (see attached file). How can I define the construction stages or girder section properties such that the loads won''t be counted twice in the analysis results?

Answer:

Hello,

The probable cause for considering the load twice are:
1) The wet concrete load have not been deactivated even though the slab part is activated.
2) It the slab load was directly applied as UDL and it was intended in that way, then the weight density of the slab part needs to be 0. This can be done by modifying density of the material in the material property.
3) The transverse elements modeled for deck don't have weight density as 0.
