How to define span start in design traffic line lane?

Answer:

In multi-span bridges, we will select the first element of each span as span start. This is used to calculate the maximum negative moment of a continuous bridge due to DL.

Considering an example of 2 span bridge. We will select the element number 1 and 8 as span start as shown in the images below.
