Dynamic analysis of trains

Hello,

I'd like to run a dynamic analysis of a train crossing a bridge. I have watched this webinar: https://www.midasoft.com/learning/bridge/dynamic-analysis-of-high-speed-rail-bridges-hs2-1

The presenter represents the train as a series of point loads. In my case, I would like to include some springs and dampers (see attached). Is there any way to do this in MIDAS?

Hi,

The train-structure interaction with the stiffness and damping of train is not supported in midas. The train can be considered only as moving mass.

Thanks for the reply. When you say "moving mass", do you mean "moving load"? If not, how can a moving mass be implemented?

No. I did not mean the moving load analysis. How to simulate moving mass is explained in the webinar you mentioned above. I have attached another tutorial for you.
