composite Design (AASHTO LRFD)

Question:

Hi,

Please see the attached files. I just want to clarify if these are the ones applied in the Composite Design tab > Transverse Stiffeners > Web  / Bearing. I want the stiffeners to be applied every 6 meters in longitudinal spacing.
I also attached my inputs that is based on my understanding of the parts of a steel bridge.

Sorry I couldn't write back to you before.  Basically the transverse stiffener and bearing stiffener are the same thing.  Only difference is, bearing stiffener are located at the bearing location, while transverse stiffener are at other locations along the box.

I discussed about it with our development team.  Currently, the transverse stiffeners are provided only for webs.  These are not being considered for flange location.  The main purpose of these stiffeners would be to avoid buckling in flange.  However, thats a limitation and is not checked in design by AASHTO in midas Civil.
